This position requires excellent interpersonal skills to fulfill the role the Assistant Director of Surgical Services/RN.
The following is required for this position:
- RN Degree
- Current State of MI License
- Current BLS; ACLS (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Timeliness
- Organization skills
- Ability to learn new software
- Considerable attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- A genuine interest in improving patient's quality of life
Some responsibilities for this position:
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Surgical Services to manage the daily functions of The Surgery Center
- Serve as a clinical leader in perioperative environment
- Aid in building staffing and surgical schedules
- Participate in the analysis of the patient care delivery system and development and implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Provide orientation and continuing education for the team
- Develop policies and procedures consistent with clinical best practices
- Circulate the OR for ophthalmic surgeries
- Pre and Post operative patient care
- Chart review to prepare for surgery
