Job Description
The Assistant Content Producer provides production support to SportsNet Pittsburgh for live studio and remote productions by producing the in-game score bug, logging and editing videotape, researching, and gathering footage, as well as researching stats and storylines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate in-game score bug by integrating editorial interface, game stats, sponsorship, and promotion.
- Collaborate with network sales and promotions on score bug integrations.
- Serve as primary network contact with the score bug vendor on GUI updates for sponsors and editorial integrations.
- Screen and log videotape of games and melts to learn camera angles and determine best video for features, teases, and promos.
- Research stats and storylines on off-days for game and studio.
- Assist producers in securing and organizing production materials for events and studio shows.
- Check and gather headlines, photos, and footage for use in features.
- Successfully complete other related tasks/assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of Pittsburgh sports, particularly baseball.
- Solid internet research skills.
- Creativity and drive and the ability to contribute ideas to the production are a must.
- Strong work ethic, reliable and professional.
- Solid organizational skills; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, must possess a positive “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to successfully work in a fast paced, loosely structured, growing and changing work environment; must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision but also able to work effectively within a team environment.
- Able to work weekends, nights and holidays as needed.
