Every Child's Place, Inc. is a not-for-profit childcare center for children ages six weeks through five years of age that provides quality-centered care and early education in a nurturing environment for children who are typically developing and those exhibiting special needs within Kenosha and surrounding communities.

The Assistant Teacher will be responsible and accountable for:
- Interacting positively and respectively with children, parents/guardians, staff, and volunteers
- Enhancing children's play with language, role modeling, toys, and activities and encouraging creative expression
- Acknowledging and embracing the emotions of children, and encouraging positive ways of expressing their feelings
- Keeping equipment and environment safe, clean, and attractive. Assuming a fair share of work, nothing is below anyone here at ECP
- Role-modeling appropriate behaviors and demonstrating appropriate responses
- Following all state regulations and supporting ECP’s vision and policies
- Demonstrating openness to change
- Exercising and maintaining the strictest confidentiality at all times and in every situation, both on and off the clock
Qualifications for Assistant Teachers:
- Positive, engaging, and patient demeanor with a profound love for children of all abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Obtain assistant certification within first six months of hire (No cost to you!)
- Ability to work 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.
ECP is NOT a babysitting service, but rather an early education center that promotes language and diversity. We embrace all children and staff, without exceptions. Note: The requirements of this position will call for frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, lifting, and carrying children of different weights and sizes.
