POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of a Paralegal the Assistant Case Manager / Case Manager is responsible for performing administrative tasks such as drafting documents, court fillings, conducting research and communicating with clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS:
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience with two (2) years of experience working in a legal position or insurance adjuster experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee works indoors in a semi-private work area as well as in a remote setting. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Must be able to maintain confidentiality when working outside of the office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS:
- Performs proactive daily interactions with existing and potential clients, via telephone and in person.
- Orders medical records from providers and communicates with clients and providers during the course of treatment.
- Obtains documents necessary to support injury and/or liability positions.
- Communicates with healthcare providers to secure records and account balances.
- Coordinates with coworkers involved in the management and support of case files.
- Organizes case files.
- Communicates with attorneys and drafts legal memorandums when required.
- Assists in management of case files from intake to closing under the direction of the Case Manager or team manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience with two (2) years of experience working in a legal position or insurance adjuster experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to proactively have interactions with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and ask questions to process cases appropriately.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
