Civil Enforcement Division, Civil Recovery Section
The Civil Enforcement Division of the A Government Entity is seeking applicants for a permanent full-time Assistant Attorney General in its Civil Recovery Section. Civil Recovery Section (Assistant Attorney General (Civil Recovery Section)
The selected candidate will be specifically responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice and litigation services to the Division of Child Support. This includes, but is not limited to, researching and advising the agency on administrative and legal issues, representing the agency at hearings to establish, modify, and enforce child support orders, and prosecution of contempt of court.
In addition, the selected candidate may have the opportunity to represent state agencies in a wide variety of other matters, including:
- Wildfire investigations and cost recovery.
- Contract disputes.
- Torts.
- Real property disputes.
- Injunctive relief.
- Overpayment recovery.
- Probate (including estates, conservatorships and guardianships).

Required:
- Active membership and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar by the time of appointment.
- At least five (5) years experience litigating cases in Oregon state courts.
- Superior analytical, advocacy, research, verbal communication, and writing skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Client counseling skills.
- Collaborative work history with lawyers and non-lawyers.

Desired Experience:
- Experience in child support or family law cases is preferred, but not required.
- Civil litigation experience.
- Experience with administrative law.
- Experience managing a high-volume caseload.
