Job Summary and Qualifications

May perform patient assessments as needed. 

• Assures patient assessments are completed in a timely manner by the department 
• Provides direct clinical oversight of the patient access process 
• Works collaboratively with hospital departments to provide services needed. 
• Models and trains other behavioral health team members on managing and tracking inquiry calls. 
• Tracks and reports on all key indicators related to calls, assessment, admissions. 
• Ensures patient rights and confidentiality are maintained 
• Provides input, suggestions and support appropriately. 
• Participates as an active member of the multidisciplinary team. 
• Responsible for reporting department performance and for identifying trends/patterns that require intervention 
• Completes additional duties as assigned. 

What qualifications you will need:

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting Preferred 
• Prefer 1-3 years' experience in a behavioral healthcare setting performing crisis assessments or in a clinical treatment setting for non-nurses.
• Preferred Masters Degree in Counseling, Social work or related field or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 
• Masters preferred Required RNs require a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an inpatient setting with demonstrated ability and competency to complete crisis assessments 
• Required 1 year of management or 3-5 years of direct crisis assessment experience Preferred 
• Clinical Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Family Therapist (LFT), or Registered Nurse, or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor (LMFC), or Masters Degree, or Bachelors Degree

Live Oak Mental Health and Wellness Center, is a part of Trident Health. We give inpatient stabilization treatment to patients who seek treatment for acute psychiatric symptoms which cannot be addressed on an outpatient basis. Common disorders of patients treated in this program include but are not limited to: major depressive disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, impulse control disorder and a variety of co-morbid personality disorders. Our patient population is both adult and adolescent. We offer 24 hour availability of a full range of services. We have the capability to institute rapid lifesaving interventions. Our physician availability is 24 hours a day to institute needed modification to the treatment plan. Psychiatrist involved in the direction and management of the treatment program. Round the clock skilled nursing care implementing the treatment plan and providing monitoring and assessment of the patients condition and response to treatment.
