The purpose of the role:

Panel / Railing assembly / fabrication / coating line workers are responsible for fabrication and assembly of fence parts. Working closely with other team members, workers assemble and pack fence and railing for shipment to our customers.

Shift hours:

• Monday through Thursday: 5a-3p (1st), 3p-1a (2nd)
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 12 hour shifts (pay out 40 hours if full shift schedule is worked)
• - Base pay is $16/hr - increase to $16.50/hr after 90 days AND increase to $17/hr after 180 days!
• - Shift differential for 2nd shift of an additional $1.50/hr AND weekend shift is paid for a full 40 hours if the scheduled shift is worked.

Job Duties May Include:

• Maintains a safe and clean work area and equipment and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Preparing imports for production consumption (unwrapping)
• Follow directions from prints or operating procedures in order to assemble parts from work pieces, using hand tools or automated machinery.
• Monitors product for quality defects.

If that sounds like you....here's what we need in terms of education and experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred. NOTE: Some assignments require the use of air powered tools / hand tools. Experience using hand tools preferred.
• Basic reading and math skills. Must be able to follow directions. High attention to detail.
• Exercises independent initiative/judgement in work methods.
• Ability to lead by example, respectfully work with a team, and communicate with clarity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English speaking and comprehension required.
• This job operates in a manufacturing environment, and the employee is regularly exposed to loud noises and machinery in an environment that is hot in the summer / cool in the winter. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, work boots, hardhats, etc.

Physical requirements
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time and perform repetitive motion type tasks regularly. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance, and occasionally lift greater than 50 pounds. Ability to endure heat in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration, repetitive motion, bending, lifting, twisting, crouching, reaching, pushing and/or pulling. While performing this position, the employee frequently works near powered forklifts, power tools, and automated assembly machinery.
