Assembly Shop Technician

As part of this remarkable journey, we are looking for an Assembly Shop Technician.

The job

This position will be utilized in the Belleville Assembly Shop. Main responsibilities will be working in the shop assisting where needed. We are looking for a fast learner who shows initiative and a willingness to learn new things.

You will report to the Assembly Shop Supervisor and be a part of the Operations team in North America.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Pressure wash and sandblast cleaning equipment and parts
  
• Prepping and painting equipment parts
• Clean shop, equipment and station areas
• Hands-on equipment rebuilding and assembly using both new and rebuild parts
• Forklift operation, moving parts as needed
• General welding as needed
• Grinding:
• Hand grinding to finished quality

 What we want from you

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
  
• Must have a strong mechanical ability, experience using basic hand tools
• Welding skills preferred
• Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and drawings with parts lists
• Must be able to lift 50-80lbs with ease and often
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be willing to maintain a professional personal appearance when representing the company
• Ability to work individually or with a team in the workshop
• Must have good communication skills
• Driver’s License Required
• Must have basic forklift skills
• Must have basic knowledge of weld machines
• Must be dependable, with a strong attendance history
• Flexibility; may require schedule outside of normal work hours
