We are seeking candidates for the position of Assembly Line Lead at our plastic injection and assembly manufacturing plant. This individual is responsible for effectively and efficiently training and supervising employees to manufacture automotive parts. They will also direct and coordinate employees on daily work assignments at each work cell.
Primary Responsibilities:
o Coach and evaluate employees
o Ensure adherence to production schedule
o Direct material handlers on movement of stock and color changes
o Ensure work cell cleanliness and organization of 5'S
o Keep scrap to a minimum
o Coordinate with quality department to ensure all standards are met
o Inform supervisor of maintenance department of all equipment and safety related problems.
o Review operator production reports and ensure accuracy
o Follow all procedures in place
o Training and rotating operations
o Ensure compliance to safety requirements
o Perform preproduction testing
o Ensure production process is met
o All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Physical Requirements:
o Regularly required to stand and walk
o Reach with hands and arms
o Climb, stoop, kneel, crouch
o Lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Qualifications:
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Good communication skills
o Equipment knowledge and troubleshooting basics
o Secondary equipment knowledge
o Basic computer skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
