PALFINGER is searching for an Equipment Assembler who will be responsible for the connection of the correct attachments and components in the listed order specified in provided blueprints. All items are critical to Palfinger USA’s production schedule and sales forecast.


We are located in Cerritos, CA. This position reports to the Assembly Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving semi-finished materials and components (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) on the shop floor that need to be assembled by reviewing the assembly instructions, blueprints specifications, and parts lists. Will gather parts, subassemblies, use tools, and materials prep products.
  • Locating parts and subassemblies by using templates, reading measurements, and using a measuring tape.
  • Use of own power tools. Special tools provided by the company.
  • Uses computer to view diagrams, lookup parts, scan items and work orders.
  • Use of overhead crane to move heavy parts, liftgates.
  • Assembling of components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions work with management for complex repairs.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; letting the lead-assembler know of shortages.
  • Uses equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results, reducing waste.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results to finish tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Will be required to move parts from one location to another, as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing basic and routine repetitive mechanical assembly operations using hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Able to conduct finished product and functional testing.
  • Knowledge of set and use of torque wrench.
  • Knowledge of low voltage flow and application.
