Asphalt Paving Foreman
We are looking for an experienced leader for an asphalt laydown crew. We are searching for someone who is hard working and safety conscious. We would prefer this individual to have mechanical capabilities and be willing to work flexible hours as schedule demands. Some night work is possible per contract requirements. Most of our work is located in or around Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area with some travel required. In this position you will be responsible for managing your crew, hiring new crew members when needed, turning in crew hours, determine project quantities, teach new crew members, perform quality workmanship, be responsible for the upkeep on your equipment and any other duties as assigned. We would prefer someone with experience in the asphalt industry.
Requirements:
-Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving history.
-Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
-Must have the ability to work in a high pressure, high stress environment.
-Must be able to manage administrative duties in a timely manner and be self-motivated.
-Able to work independently and with a team.
-Must be willing to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends.
-Would prefer to have some knowledge of Iowa and Nebraska contract specifications.
-Some travel is required, usually staying within 100-mile radius from Omaha, NE in both Iowa and Nebraska.
-Would prefer an individual with at least 2 years of asphalt laydown foreman experience of some type.
