Job Description
The Designer/Drafter will create and modify engineering drawings utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. The drawings are used by engineering, production, and manufacturing to support the procurement, machining, assembly, and testing of all products. All drawings show technical details, specifications, materials, and other pertinent data to ensure designed components are in line with project specifications.
Design aspects include, but are not limited to:
- Pressure Vessels
- Piping and Instrumentation
- Skids
- Structural
- Storage Tanks
Responsibilities
- Create 2D drawings from supplied models for ASME fabrication
- Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Creates a complete bill of materials for all pressure vessels, structural and piping components
- Ensure final design drawings comply with ASME Code and quality standards
- Creates detailed pressure vessel fabrication drawings in AutoCAD
Skills
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
- Good math skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, but also the ability to work well as member of a team.
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- 2 year or 4 year degree in engineering technology is preferred
- a minimum of three (3) years of design drafting experience in an engineering or manufacturing organization is preferred.
Work Environment
- Primarily open office setting with 6-8 other employees
- Work schedule is 40 hours/week
- Monday - Friday
- 7:00am - 3:30pm
