Department Information
The Operations and Advancement team oversees a strategic selection of campus enterprises and responsibilities, including Facilities Management and the campus physical plant and construction, Auxiliary Services, Hispanic Serving Institution Initiatives, Alumni Relations, Marketing, Communications, and Community Relations, and the Denver-based Advancement team. This diverse portfolio allows our teams to imagine long-term partnerships; support a campus master planning initiative; establish new fundraising opportunities as long-term, drivers for new and evolving academic and student experiences; develop meaningful relationships and pipelines with our alumni graduates; and message and share CSU Pueblo's statewide engagement and impact to stakeholders in Denver and beyond. Our team's objective is to build and strengthen CSU Pueblo's ten initiatives of Vision 2028, and support the campus ecosystem, as we work toward achieving the three wildly important goals of the university: elevating the appeal of campus, enhancing student success, and developing our people.
MCCR serves as the campus source for communications with internal and external constituents and plays a leading role in conveying CSU Pueblo's mission and image to stakeholders. We strive for accuracy in information, consistency in presentation, and quality in product.

THIS JOB POSTING IS OPEN TO CURRENT STATE OF COLORADO RESIDENTS ONLY.
The Multimedia Coordinator position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, artistic vision, and the ability to generate engaging content that aligns with our brand and objectives. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional discretion, analytical skills, judgment, personal accountability, and a deep sense of responsibility for creating developing, integrating, and sharing information through storytelling.

Primary Duties:
Content Creation
Develop creative and visually compelling video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and other digital channels. This includes conceptualizing, storyboarding, filming, editing, and delivering high-quality videos.
Technical Expertise:
Possess a strong understanding of videography and photography equipment, lighting techniques, audio recording, and post-production processes. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously exploring new applications to improve video quality and storytelling.
Brand Alignment:
Ensure that all video content aligns with the brand's guidelines, messaging, and overall aesthetic. Maintain consistency in visual style, tone, and voice across all projects.
Storytelling and Scripting:
Develop engaging narratives and scripts that effectively communicate key messages and captivate the target audience. Translate concepts into compelling visual stories that resonate with viewers.
Online Engagement and Analytics
Social Media:
Curate relevant content from campus departments and programs, to share with audiences on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), and Linkedin. Ensure content is on brand, consistent, and optimized for each platform.
Analyze social media channels to develop and implement strategies aligned with CSU Pueblo's goals and target audience based on what is trending and how the audience is engaging. Determine the most effective approach to engage and grow the CSU Pueblo online community.
Online Community Management:
Monitor and engage with the CSU Pueblo social media audiences, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Foster meaningful relationships with followers, students, and the community by actively participating in conversations and addressing their needs.
Analytics and Reporting:
Track, measure, and analyze social media performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and Hootsuite. Provide regular reports on key metrics, insights, and trends, and use data to inform future strategies and decision-making.
Social Listening and Trends:
Monitor social media channels and relevant online platforms to stay informed about industry trends, news, and conversations related to CSU Pueblo and higher education. Leverage insights gained from social listening to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and provide guidance for PIO to engage with the audience.
Crisis Monitoring:
Monitor social media channels for potential crises, negative feedback, or reputation issues. Report promptly to the Director of MCCR and/or VP of Operations and Advancement.
Collaboration and Feedback
Collaborate closely with on-campus departments to gather feedback and incorporate suggestions.
Multimedia Project Management
Project Management:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to final delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop video concepts that support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Editing and Post-production:
Utilize video editing software to edit footage to meet project goals. Enhance video and audio quality through color correction, audio mixing, and other post-production techniques.
Equipment and Set Management:
Oversee and maintain video production and photography equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition. Set up and manage on-location shoots, including arranging props, lighting, and other necessary equipment.
Collaboration and Feedback:
Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to gather feedback, incorporate suggestions, and iterate on video content. Maintain open lines of communication to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Office Assistance
• Schedule headshots for faculty, staff, and students as needed. Keep an organized inventory of headshots.
• Assist with covering the office and providing good guest service to internal and external individuals.
• Assist with graphic design projects utilizing Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design software.
• Assist with website editing, including content updates, sizing photos, and updating brand assets on the website.
This position is benefits-eligible.
Monthly Salary:
$4,235-$6,776
Although the full monthly salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the range minimum.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.
Substitutions
  • Appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year
    basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with professional videography, photography, and social media at an institution of higher education.
  • Knowledge of higher education programming, processes, and scheduling.
