Arts and Crafts Instructor

ART & CRAFT INSTRUCTOR (Summer - 2024)

MAJOR FUNCTION:

To be part of a team who will provide a safe and positive environment for children to learn in a recreational environment. To do Arts & Crafts activities will help them learn to interact with staff and peers, and will enhance their talents, abilities and personal growth.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Arts and Crafts Instructor

• Monitor all art and craft activities for camp ensuring proper safety and instruction is followed.
• Organize and facilitate Aviator’s Arts and Crafts program for all summer campers.
• Plans and organizes teaching outlines, methods and goals that support the general teaching outlines provided by Aviator’s Seasonal Summer Camp Program.
• Organizes and directs art and Crafts activities of campers in order to provide a high level of art instruction for all students.
• Helps organize and assists in the development of special programs, activities or instruction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience –

• Strong background in child care, art experience. Strong communication skills required. Hours: Mon-Fri: 9:30am to 4:30pm
• Must be an art student or have experience with art activities.
• Ability to demonstrate a pleasing personality and positive/assertive character traits.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
• Ability to remain alert, attentive, and responsible.
• Ability to be a team player.

Commitment: To make at least an 8 week work commitment between June 24 and Aug. 23th, 2024

Hourly range: $16 per hour to $24 per hour - This job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
