Artist/Instructor

Pinot's Palette, a leader in the paint-and-sip industry, is hiring fun and charismatic art instructors. Guests will follow your instruction while they paint on their own stretched canvases with acrylic paint and enjoy wine/beer at our upscale studio and for our live - virtual paint parties. The ideal person for this job will have an outgoing personality, strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, positive attitude and the ability to work quickly and energetically.
We are looking for part-time artists for Weekend, Day and  Evening shifts to staff our Ellicott City/Turf Valley Towne Square location! We are looking for a team player who can jump in where needed and help the team succeed. Work shifts include mostly day and evening shift on weekends and some day and evening shifts during the week. Must be able work a minimum of 3 or more shifts per week.
Responsibilities include:
Instruct guests during class in an energetic, entertaining, clear and well-paced manner while encouraging creativity and creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
Assist guests and staff member(s) to ensure smooth class flow and promote guest painting success through teamwork and a positive attitude.
Thorough, accurate and detailed set up and clean up of the studio before and after classes.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to design and execute quality, fun, acrylic paintings in various painting styles
Basic computer skills (including Microsoft Word) and internet knowledge
Public Speaking and performance skills (comfortable speaking using a microphone in front of a large group of people, who have diverse personalities)
Strong time management and communication skills (must always arrive to work on time & be able to manage class flow to ensure classes start and end on time)
Ability to follow & implement guidelines and instructions
Must be 21 or over
Preferred Education/Experience:
College Degree in Art or Design related field
Experience with Art and Art instruction
Some experience teaching a group of people (classroom or otherwise) how to paint
Strong Customer Service experience

This is an ongoing part time position with day shifts and some evening shifts, may include some weekend shifts. We only hire employees - no independent contractors please. Strong starting hourly wage with bonuses, royalties and room for advancement.
