Mary Lucille's is a new bakery, restaurant and tea room/dessert room in Cumming, GA. We will stand out by providing an experience to our guests that reminiscent of decades ago. Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of pastries, breads, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and standards fresh daily
- Measure and mix ingredients, bake items, and decorate finished products
- Prepare all pudding, purees, icing and sauces from scratch
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or bakery setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
-Artisan Bread Baker minimum 5 years experience
-Experienced restaurant pastry cooks, specialty in breads preferred
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to accommodate special requests
- Knowledge of different types of pastries and desserts from various culinary traditions
- Understanding of portion control and the ability to adjust recipes accordingly
-Able and willing to follow or signature recipes
