The Bethany Public School District has an opening for an Art Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
Provides an instructional program that will assist students in acquiring the basic knowledge and skills necessary for the understanding and appreciation of visual arts as a medium of communication.
Salary: $52,693 to $93,466 per Bethany Education Association contract.
Benefits: Comprehensive health and welfare benefits package per Bethany Education Association contract.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Certification in Art Education is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of elementary Art teaching experience is preferred.
- Experience with developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based teaching and learning is preferred.
- Experience with the Data Team Process is preferred.
- Experience with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is preferred.
- Strong organizational, recordkeeping, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must possess good judgment in the supervision of, management of, and communication with students.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
The Bethany Community School is an elementary school (PK to 6) located in central Bethany on an extensive rural campus. The school offers a supportive leadership team and staff and extensive instructional resources.
