Penguin Random House Audio, the premiere publisher in the audiobook industry, is seeking an Associate- Audio Art Rights and Permissions, to clear artwork and design for use on our audio and large print products.
This division publishes over 2200 top-quality fiction and nonfiction audiobooks per year across multiple formats and genres and the Associate will be critical to the timely receipt of cover files and permissions o publish those titles.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate with contacts in other Penguin Random House divisions and outside publishers to receive final cover files and rights information
- Maintaining FMP database with up-to-date information, and expected receipt of cover files
- Communicate with multiple vendors regarding agreements and invoice submissions
- Working with Accounts Payable to process payments
- Troubleshoot issues with vendor paperwork and invoices or payments
- Assist with special projects as needed
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- At least 2 years working in art permissions, publishing or related field preferred
- Working knowledge of copyright and familiarity with reading and negotiating art agreements preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to problem-solve and navigate issues diplomatically and professionally
- Knowledge of SAP and/or FileMaker Pro a plus but not required
The salary for this position is $53,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
