Neato is a full service eCommerce Accelerator that helps major retail brands sell better on marketplaces. We make money by collaborating with brands as their exclusive retail partner on Amazon and in-turn provide a comprehensive suite of agency services at no cost. Our core competencies are marketplace management, marketing, advertising, distribution, brand control, and multimedia creative production all aimed toward quantifiable growth of marketplace sales channels. The Opportunity:


The Art Director, where creativity meets strategy. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in our creative team. Your core responsibility is to conceptualize and execute designs that align with and elevate our brand partners' objectives. Utilizing thorough research and your creative expertise, you will develop content that effectively engages and resonates with consumer audiences. Your role is critical in translating high-level ideas into visual narratives, balancing artistic expression with strategic insights to create content that is not only visually appealing but also aligns with our brand identity and business goals. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Brand, Video, Photography, eCommerce), you will ensure that our visual communications are compelling and coherent, driving engagement and brand affinity.

You've guided brands to visually communicate their story in compelling ways and have your finger on the pulse of design and marketing trends. You possess the rare balance of artistic instinct and strategic thinking, bringing to life creative campaigns that resonate with audiences and drive business goals, on budget and ahead of schedule. You're no stranger to the challenges and opportunities of e-commerce and have experience, or at least familiarity, with Amazon's platform. Key Responsibilities:


  • Take ownership of client objectives by leading team of designers, through projects to create engaging and impactful content across platforms, primarily Amazon
  • Manage team of in-house and remote designers spanning multiple timezones
  • Lead creative concept development through visual research, mockups and imaginative storytelling
  • Collaborate with the brands to manage design quality, accuracy, and consistency, ensuring that all deliverables follow brand guidelines and requirements
  • Leads direction on photography, videography and design
  • Oversee post-production processes like photo editing, retouching, and design layouts to prepare for brand approval
  • Final step in review process; prepare content to present "Client-Ready"
  • Assist with hiring interns, production artists, mid-level & senior designers, photographers, and copywriters
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to develop go-to-market strategizing
  • Work fast, efficiently, and organized, while having a keen eye for all details
  • Confident and articulate, with the ability to voice and share ideas and opinions both internally and with clients
  • Strong understanding of conceptualization, graphic design, typography, color, and brand standards
  • Understanding of both consumer audiences, B2B, and the design formats that best reflect their behaviors
  • Ability to be nimble and reprioritize projects and workflow based on business needs
  • Ability to manage relationships and drive processes in team environment


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree inGraphicDesign or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant in-house and/or agency experience.
  • Demonstrable managerial skills with a track record of hiring, managing and inspiring creative teams, preferably in a high-growth environment.
  • Proven experience in a senior creative role, preferably in the e-commerce or retail sectors.
  • +1 for consumer goods experience.
  • Excellent understanding of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite and beyond.
  • Interest in Artificial Intelligence and its applications to creative design
  • Strong knowledge of brand strategy and the ability to align it with visual designs.Ability to translate brand strategy into consistent, on-brand content.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Agile and flexible enough to pivot between multiple brands at the same time, while maintaining a consistent level of quality in creative direction and final output.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with the marketing team and other departments.
  • Portfolio of work, demonstrating a history of crafted, integrated work and design excellence in a variety of applications.
  • Familiarity with Amazon's platform, its limitations, and opportunities is a plus.
