Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist to join our team to assist with Facebook and Instagram posts (weekly) as well as Constant Contact newsletters (every other week). As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Social Media strategies to increase brand awareness, engage with our audience, and drive website traffic. Occasional image gathering sessions at MAC in 08033, plus biweekly virtual meeting and monthly in person meeting presence are required for this position. Must be largely self directed; your work will be driven by volunteer board guidance and reporting will be to program administrator with the goal of driving class registrations for each semester plus camp sessions.
Duties:
- Develop and execute Social Media strategies to meet business objectives
- Manage and maintain Social Media accounts across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels - Graphic Designer, Program Administrator and Board of Directors overseeing business operations and marketing
- Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Social Media platforms and their respective best practices
- Proficient in using Social Media management tools such as Hootsuite
- Basic graphic design skills to create visually appealing content
- Experience with online advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus
- Knowledge of digital marketing principles and practices
- Strong relationship management skills
Organization Summary:For over 60 years Markeim Arts Center has served as a hub for community arts in the Haddonfield region, providing exhibition opportunities to local artists, educational camps and workshops for children and adults of all ages, and reasons for the community to connect. Markeim's mission is to offer programs for the entire family including a yearlong schedule of exhibitions, musical performances, studio classes, and art camps. Markeim is dedicated to providing arts and cultural programs for the regional community in all disciplines including Visual Art, Dance/Movement, Creative Writing, and Music. Our goal is to create a safe community space for artists of all skill levels, ages, and backgrounds to exchange knowledge and share experiences.
