  • ARMA Insurance Verification Rep
    Position Summary
    • Obtains precertification information needed for all admissions. Responsible for patient registration and admitting, in support of the Site/Service/Clinic. Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and patient experience. Works to obtain precertification information and contacts insurance companies for all patient types requiring pre-admission certification, notification, in-network, out-network and benefits verification
  • Position Qualifications
    • Minimum Education
      • Completion of a high school diploma or GED
    • Experience
      • Three to six months of experience in a medical office, clinic, or acute care site is preferred
    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • N/A
    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
      • Knowledge of and works within the scope of the admissions and scheduling representative.
      • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with the public, patients, family, staff, and physicians; acts within the chain of command, utilizing positive verbal and non-verbal skills.
      • A clear understanding of computer processes, fax, phone, and scanning.
      • Knowledge of compliance and attention to detail.
      • Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service to patients, family, staff, and physicians.
    • Physical Demands
      • Lifts, pushes, and pulls, up to 50 pounds
      • Manual dexterity and mobility
      • Prolonged, extensive or considerable sitting/standing/walking > 7 hours per day
      • Bending, squatting, twisting, turning
      • Near acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less
    • Working Conditions
      • Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne diseases
      • Exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment
      • Exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens
      • Exposed to unpleasant elements (accident, injury, slippery surfaces uneven surfaces), etc.

Benefits & Perks
Compensation is based on education and experience. Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment to begin from the new hire orientation date. This position is a non-exempt position with WOW shift differential.
