Job Description
The Area Manager is responsible for providing first-class service to our current and future clients which includes operations, maintaining budgets, and possibly developing new business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Traveling and managing all aspects of your assigned area/territory.
- Supervise and direct operation activities.
- Establish and manage operational policies, objectives, and initiatives to ensure cost-effectiveness and mitigate risks.
- Provide leadership to the managers and/or supervisors in your area.
- Ability to think outside the box and respond quickly to issues to prevent escalation.
- Maintain payroll records.
- Create estimates and workload bids, if possible.
- Ensure quality control expectations are met and exceed Midway standards.
- Ability to discipline an employee, while following company policy guidelines.
- Order and maintain control of your inventory and supplies.
- Train or assist in training new and existing employees on proper cleaning, in your area/territory.
Requirements include:
Minimum of 2 years managing in the service (janitorial) industry.
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Suite.
- The assigned area could be an office building, warehouse, school, university, or other facility.
- Have the ability to demonstrate expertise in the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Must have the ability to lead people and obtain results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask is a must.
