As an Archives Intern / Practicum Student you'll work closely with the Corporate Archivist and assist in maintaining corporate archives. You'll have the opportunity to focus on processing, cataloging, digitizing, and making accessible collections of historical documents for our company's 129-year history. You'll gain exposure to various aspects of archival management, practicing concepts learned in your studies.
• Digitize historic print advertisements, product packaging, photographs, and company publications
• Organize archival collection materials and craft descriptive finding aids according to current archival standards
• Generate reports, aiding in the development or revision of archives policies and procedures,
• Provide support for reference research inquiries
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• Must be enrolled in a master's degree program in Library and Information Science or equivalent
Other
• Concentration in archives or museum studies is preferred
• The schedule is flexible, and hours can be scheduled when staff are available, typically Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• This is a short-term, paid internship designed for a Masters-level Practicum Student for the Spring 2024 semester

The hourly pay for this position is $28 an hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
