Hearst Television in Sacramento, California is looking for a part-time, temporary Archive Technician to assist with the digitization and cataloging of our vast tape library. You will be reporting to the Archives Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Digitize multiple ¾ inch, Beta and DV tapes at once
- Monitor decks during tape digitization
- Archive paper data
- Spot check digitized clips using a virtual portal and assist with titling
Requirements
- Knowledge of broadcast operations in a TV station
- TV news, production or master control experience
- Passion for archival materials
- Knowledge of online spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Basic computer knowledge (document scanning, video conferencing, media recording)
- Related military experience will be considered

The salary for this role is $20.00. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
