Job Description
- Identify and develop long-term working relationships with the interior designers and architects.
- Respond to sample requests and aid A&D community in color and Design options.
- Conduct AIA/IDCEC CEU courses and product education presentations.
- Record activities, follow-ups and collateral placement in the CRM.
- Track potential and established projects from design phase through material procurement working with sales team.
- Participate in industry-related functions to showcase our products, network, etc. as agreed on with VP/GM/Specification Manager.
- Attends industry meetings, trade shows, etc
- Work closely with Specification Manager/VP/GM in evolving the strategy and execution for product specification
- Includes developing our marketing efforts through all appropriate media (print, social, on-line searches, etc.)
- Align effort and work in conjunction with HWSPs sales team and industry/vendor specification reps.
- Keep abreast of specification market intelligence including product/trend development and new product introductions
- Degree, diploma or certificate in interior design from a recognized post-secondary institution is preferred.
- Interior design experience would be an asset.
- Specification experience is preferred.
- General understanding of the different channels to market.
- A recognition and ability to manage/track potentially long sales cycles.
- An established network of contacts, specifically with architects, designers, builders, retail chains, would be an asset.
- Excellent communication, time management, organizational, planning, and presentation skills (small and larger groups)
- Able to create and modify Power Point presentations
- CRM knowledge a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel (including overnight) as needed.
