Architectural Sales Representative

The Architectural Sales Representative is responsible for the successful promotion and obtaining project specification of Western Window Systems products.

Summary/Objective

The Architectural Sales Representative is responsible for the successful promotion and obtaining project specification of Western Window Systems products.

Essential Functions

1. Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with current and new Architectural customers that lead to increased sales, specifications and revenue


2. Will work in conjunction with a dealer as well as with a Western dealer representative


3. Responsible for identifying and prospecting for new Architectural customers


4. Work closely with architects to develop sales strategies and specifications


5. Analyze market trends and develop action plans to capitalize on shifts in market


6. Prepare prospecting activity and reports thru a CRM program


7. Developing strong client relationships within the architectural community


8. Promote new products as directed to the specific market segment Architects that are applicable

Supervisory Responsibility

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and projectors for presentations conducted

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk for 8 hours at a time; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms as well as carry literature and samples sometimes up flights of stairs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires frequent travel, more than 50% most travel is outside the local area and overnight. Some of the travel is international. 

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.


2. A minimum of two years in a sales or sales support role.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Experience with business-to-business commerce and Internet communication software.


2. Two years in customer service, public speaking or training role in a technology company.
