SUMMARY
Gulf Bay® Group of Companies is seeking an Architectural Drafter/Designer for production of complete and accurate schematic design, design development and construction drawings for high-end residential projects. Experience working in a professional architectural office required.

For nearly 40 years, Gulf Bay has successfully developed 16 luxury properties along the 1.5+/- mile stretch of Gulf-front land within Pelican Bay. This position is listed as a remote contract-based position for a duration of 6 months. There is one week of travel required to the office headquarters (paid for by the Company) at the start of the contract to meet with the Director of Architecture and go through initial on-boarding and project overviews.
This position does have the potential to turn into an employed full-time position at the end of the contract. Transition to a full-time employed position does require relocation to Naples, Florida and would be an in-office role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Closely collaborate with the Director of Architecture to ensure accurate representation of design concepts and ideas in both 2D drawing sets and 3D design models.
- Facilitate in the development of department drawing standards and templates.
- Generate and maintain residential project architectural drawing sets and documentation.
- Create lot fit and programmatic blocking plans.
- Produce schematic renderings and 3D design visualizations.
- Develop drawing details and specification schedules.
- Maintain knowledge of current Florida building codes and standards.
SKILLS
- High level of proficiency in both AutoCAD and Rhino 3D modeling software.
- Organized and able to manage one’s own time.
- Florida residential project knowledge and familiarity.
REQUIREMENTS
- Legally able to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
- 3-5 Years of professional experience working in an architectural firm.
- Expert in AutoCAD and Rhino 3D.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Portfolio of work demonstrating drawing production.
