**this is a contract to direct hire role and offers a hybrid work schedule located in the Energy Corridor of Houston**
Duties and Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for leading the effort on Architectural scope of work execution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, building design complying with Client specifications, building code and industry standards, writing specifications, writing the Buildings Basis of Design, building cost estimating, engineering discipline coordination, attending project meetings, giving presentations to project stakeholders and tracking execution progress. Building types the successful candidate should be familiar with include control and Operator buildings, Laboratory facilities, Administrative buildings, Warehouse and Maintenance facilities, First Aid buildings and Fire houses, Process Shelters, Plant Security facilities and Substations. Ability to work effectively with internal and external project stakeholders is required for successfully fulfilling this position. The successful candidate will be familiar with key architectural deliverables from major project phases, including Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be critical to successfully filling this position. Holding a US Architect's license is not required, yet preferred.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements
Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Architecture minimum 5+ years of related experience, a minimum of 3 years of Industrial-Energy sector experience.
Clear understanding of IBC and accessibility requirements.
An Architect license is preferred.
