A/R Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payment collections, and providing exceptional customer service.

Duties:

• Ensuring Accurate Initial Claim Submission, including attachments as required by Insurance Payers.
• Processing and follow-up of Claim Denials.
• Processing of Insurance Claim Payments and Fee adjustments.
• Auditing and Verifying Patient Accounts.
• Reconcile Insurance Payment Posting to Daily Lockbox
• Processing Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) enrollment for payer payments.
• Secondary and Claim resubmission as needed.
• Eligibility Verification as needed.
• Partnering with our locations to resolve payment posting issues and account adjustments.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or General Education Diploma
• Associate degree or a combination of equivalent education and work experience, preferred.
• Prior claim posting experience in dental or healthcare, preferable in a group practice environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements related to patient records and billing requirements.
• Dentrix Enterprise and Dolphin Management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is an asset.
• Excellent phone etiquette and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
