AR SPECIALIST II- PB Billing

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a AR SPECIALIST II - PB Billing

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This is a hybrid position located in Norfolk, VA

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist II on the PB Billing team is responsible for electronically billing insurance claims, mailing claims that cannot file electronically, resolving claims edits and front-line payer rejections. The role requires a strong working knowledge of medical billing, attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to resolve problems. Routinely monitors and trends workflows, completes charge corrections and reconciliation of claim files for assigned area of responsibility. This is a hybrid position requiring working in the office via business need with most days able to work from home.

Required:

• 3+ years' insurance claims or medical billing experience

• Epic, PB Billing and Clearinghouse experience preferred

Diploma/Certification in medical Insurance Billing and Coding, in lieu of the years
