Position Summary and Job Responsibilities
Typical Work Day:
Position Background: The Modeling & Simulation Enterprise Applications (MSEA) product suite supports modeling and simulation (M&S) environments; trainer systems; test and evaluation (T&E); analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners. All products are government owned, developed and managed. The Analysis & Recording Tool (ART) is a framework for analyzing data and providing meaningful debrief reports.
Typical Day supporting the MSEA/NGTS A&R team:
You will be developing analysis software to be used in conjunction with an advanced synthetic training environment. This software is used to analyze pilot training in flight simulators, and to provide debrief reports based upon the analysis. You will support software development, software integration, customer training and demonstrations.
Required and/or Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Math, and Physics may qualify with at least 1 year of C++ experience.
Minimum Years of Experience:
- 2 year relevant to work area
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Analysis Programming Language (Python/MatLab/R)
Basic knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming using C++
Ability to work with a team to accomplish goals
Must be able to obtain DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Task Management skills (JIRA, GitLab, Bugzilla)
Data analysis extensions (pandas, h5py) is a plus
Parallel processing, threading, process communication is a plus
Web-based application technology is a plus (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Node JS)
Familiarity with time-series analysis is a plus
