AR / AP Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Coordinator to join our Accounting & Finance Team. The AP/AR Coordinator will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.

- Verify coding, approvals, and appropriate documentation for all invoices.

- Prepare and perform weekly payments.

- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Accounts Receivable:

- Generate and send a segment of customer invoices accurately and timely.

- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.

- Process customer payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.

- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.

- Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and interactions.

- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.

Collections:

- Monitor and track past due accounts receivable.

- Contact customers to resolve outstanding payment issues necessary.

Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities to streamline AP/AR processes and improve efficiency.

- Recommend and implement changes to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness.

- Develop and maintain documentation of AP/AR procedures and controls.

Compliance and Controls:

- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.

- Assist in audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.

- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or similar role.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: The annual salary for this position ranges between $25.00 - 30.00 per hour, DOE. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, and other considerations as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and equity awards.
