General Summary
Now Hiring for the 2024 Pool Season!
Hiring Wage Depends on experience.

Interviews are expected to be held the week of spring break, April 1st - 5th, 2024.
Pool is expected to be open Memorial Day weekend (May 25th) for open swim - regular pool season starts June 15th.
The 2024 pool season is fast approaching which is an exciting time for the City of Richland. The City's Parks and Recreation division is looking for well-qualified candidates to fill our Aquatics Head Lifeguard positions for the 2024 pool season.
Aquatics Head Lifeguard's assist the Aquatics Pool Manager by performing support work for a variety of recreation activities, programs, events, and facility needs, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited to moderate supervision of the Parks and Recreation Coordinator or designee (supervisor).

Minimum Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Age 18 by June 1, 2024, or time of hire.
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Prior lifeguarding experience.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous mentoring, or similar experience.
  • Previous public pool experience, preferably with the City of Richland.
  • Previous Head Lifeguard, Assistant Pool Manager, or similar experience.
  • Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification

Supplemental Information
Final selection will be made based on overall qualifications and an interview process. Final candidate(s) selected will be required to successfully complete and pass a comprehensive background/reference check commensurate to the position.
