The Guest ServicesTeam Member's primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional guest experience. Other duties include a variety of work in daily operations including selling tickets and passes, answering guest inquiries, maintaining the gift shop's operations, managing concessions, tracking product inventory, cleaning designated areas, and money handling. Additionally, Team Members may assist with park events and activities to enhance the overall guest experience. Our Guest ServicesTeam Members are the frontline faces of the waterpark responsible for creating a safe environment, enforcing park rules, and facilitating a seamless experience while promoting a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for all.
Duties
WHEN ASSIGNED TO GUEST SERVICES TEAM:
  • Greet and welcome guests as they enter the waterpark.
  • Assist guests with ticket purchases, season pass inquiries, and provide information on admission prices.
  • Verify and issue wristbands to visitors as proof of admission, granting access to the park's attractions and facilities.
  • Ensure guests are aware of safety guidelines and park rules, promoting a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Conduct thorough bag inspections at the entrance to enhance security, ensure guest safety, and uphold park rules.
  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor to enhance the overall guest experience.
WHEN ASSIGNED TO RETAIL TEAM:
  • Operate cash registers and handle transactions for retail merchandise, including souvenirs and swimwear.
  • Assist guests in selecting and purchasing items, providing information about product features and prices.
  • Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing retail area by restocking merchandise, arranging displays, and ensuring cleanliness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to Retail Supervisors.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service, addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues, and offering assistance with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, particularly when handling merchandise in wet or aquatic environments, to prevent accidents and damage to goods.
WHEN ASSIGNED TO FOOD AND BEVERAGE TEAM:
  • Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food preparation areas and concession stands.
  • Operate cash registers and process orders accurately, handling payment transactions and providing excellent customer service.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and beverages, restocking as needed to ensure availability of menu items. Communicate restocking needs to Food and Beverage Supervisors.
  • Follow food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other members of kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure consistent quality.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve any concerns related to food quality, orders, or allergies.
  • Assist with special events and birthday party catering services as needed.
WHEN ASSIGNED TO PARTY TEAM:
  • Work closely with Party Supervisors to plan and execute customized experiences, including birthday parties, Pirate Party Nights, and other events.
  • Create a festive and enjoyable atmosphere by decorating designated party areas with appropriate themes and decorations.
  • Greet and welcome party guests upon arrival, ensuring they receive all necessary information for their celebration.
  • Oversee the distribution of food and beverages, either provided by the park or brought in by the guests.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing and resolving any inquiries, needs, or concerns that may arise during events or parties ensuring they have a seamless and enjoyable experience.
  • Monitor inventory levels of party supplies, restocking as needed. Communicate restocking needs to Party Supervisors.
  • Collaborate with other park departments to ensure that special events align with the overall park experience and adhere to safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail and creativity to create memorable and unique experiences.

Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED:
  • Must be sixteen years of age.

PREFERRED:
  • Six months experience in food preparation and service.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (American Red Cross)
  • Food handler certification.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions. Desire to work outdoors during all weather types to ensure a wonderful experience for all guests. Possess basic computer and POS system abilities. Must be able to maintain a positive/friendly attitude. Ability to work independently or with a team, maintain high standards, positive attitude, and professional appearance. Ability to problem solve and react quickly to guests needs. Initiates conversation with guests, maintaining proper eye contact and providing relevant information regarding attractions, park information, and special events. Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Must follow and enforce all waterpark standards.
Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.
Overall Position Strength Demands
