Aquatic Service Technician
Progressive Commercial Aquatics, Inc. has been in business for 40 years and is a premier full-service aquatics construction, renovation, repair, and service company. Our Corporate Headquarter is in Houston, Texas, and we have satellite offices located in Austin, Texas, Golden, Colorado and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
We have built and renovated some of the most recognizable aquatic landmarks in the great states of Texas and Colorado. Progressive has worked tirelessly to develop a strong culture of collaboration, communication, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot commercial aquatic pump room equipment (e.g., pumps, heaters, filters, timers, pool cleaners, blowers, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing).
- Install, rebuild, replace, or repair fuses, valves, controls, gaskets, and other equipment as necessary.
- Complete on-site system evaluations. Specific experience with commercial aquatic filtration would be considered an asset.
- Ability to balance and maintain total water chemistry for commercial aquatic facilities.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical issues.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Complete and turn in field reports that capture all time and work completed on site.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
Ideal Candidate will
- Be dependable, reliable, responsive, problem solver and detail oriented.
- Have a high level of customer service skills.
- Have knowledge of the materials, methods, and tools used in the operation and repair of commercial aquatic pump room systems, HVAC systems, or plumbing techniques.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Be able to work both cooperatively with others, and independently with little direction when necessary.
Qualifications
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g., work in various weather conditions, lift heavy loads up to 80 pounds etc.)
- Ability to use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Frequent bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to travel.
- Plumbing Experience Required.
- RAIL certification would be considered an asset.
- CPO or AFO certification would be considered an asset.
- CPR certification preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $32.00 per hour
