Job Description
The Advance Practice Specialty Nurse- GI is a registered nurse who provides an advanced level of care in collaboration with specialty physicians and other members of the health care team to a specific patient population. Maintains an advanced knowledge base and skill in the assessment and treatment of GI dysfunction and disease and management of health/illness in the care of of GI involved patients. May perform specific diagnostic and/or interventional procedures under the supervision of the physician.

Job Description

Minimum Requirements:
- Master of Science in Nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing
- Maintain current licensed as a registered professional nurse in Missouri
- Graduation and certification for Nurse Practitioner program; must maintain active certification
- Certification in specialty as approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice may be required.
- Holds current Collaborative Practice Arrangement with the organization as a provider
- Current BCLS verification
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in area of specialty practice
- Demonstrates leadership ability
- 3-5 years clinical experience
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in GI.
Preferred:
- 3-5 years clinical GI experience.
- Advanced education in the diagnosis and management of patients with diseases of GI.
