Job description

Supporting the development and enhancement LINGO capabilities in a desktop application with a web client interface
Integrating visualization applications with multimedia storage capabilities (e.g. ONEROOF)
Unit testing code and providing assistance to the Help Desk to troubleshoot and debug issues from the users as necessary

The Apprentice-level Software Engineer shall have at least the following experience:

Zero to two (2) years in the development, engineering, interfacing, and integration of hardware/software systems to include an understanding of requirements, elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, concept of operation, interface standards, and systems architectures. However, 1 year experience is preferred
Basic understanding of Object Oriented and Structured development methodologies and languages.
Experience with, or aptitude to develop documentation required to support a program’s technical issues and training situations.

MUST HAVE experience developing in Java
Experience with, or aptitude to develop documentation required to support a program’s technical issues and training situations.
Innovative thinker with good problem solving skills.
Experience working with desktop application frameworks (e.g. ECLIPSE RCP)
Experience developing local and client/server applications Ability to enhance and support a software application (government or commercial) deployed to production users
Familiar with CM/build tools such as Maven, Subversion and Hudson
Knowledge of multi-threaded applications
Knowledge/experience defining and/or working with a SOA and XML parsing.
