Apprentice Nurse - Icu - Prn (As Needed)

The Apprentice Nurse (AN) shall work within their scope of practice, as defined by the Nevada State Board of Nursing (NSBN), and follow all essential functions that fall within that scope of practice including using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate highest quality nursing care. The AN will work under the supervision of an assigned preceptor performing only those skills allowed by the Nevada State Board of Nursing in which they have successfully demonstrated competence in their program of education as evidenced on their nursing program clinical skills checklist. The AN will adhere to all departmental/hospital policies and procedures and the MVRH Mission and Vision statements and standards and work within all rules and regulations of governing agencies, including but not limited to, NSBN, CIHQ, HIPAA and OSHA.

Licenses/Certificates: Current BLS required.

Education: Current enrollment in an accredited program of nursing and with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
