If you are brought on, we would help you enroll into a virtual apprenticeship program, where you watch classes once a week, and eventually take your test to become a journeyman electrician. Wiggins will reimburse the apprentice for the cost of each semester that the apprentice passes. This is an awesome opportunity for an apprentice who wants to take the next step toward getting their journeyman license.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.
- Learn and apply electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion.
- Develop troubleshooting skills and contribute to problem-solving on job sites.
- Attend virtual classes online once a week as part of our apprenticeship program.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiarity with hand tools
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Excellent attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong drive and willingness to succeed
- Willing to learn and ask questions when needed
- Willingness to travel when necessary
A PRE-SCREENING PROCESS IS REQUIRED.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
