This job provides direct, one-on-one treatment for Children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder to attempt to remediate communication, academic, social and behavioral skills. Follows treatment programs created by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Implements individualized skill acquisition training protocols including discrete trial instruction, natural environment teaching, functional communication training, social skills training and behavioral intervention protocols (behavior modification plans).
Education
Required - High school diploma.
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or communication disorders.
Work Experience
Preferred - 1 year of experience working with children.
Certifications
Preferred - Completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analysis licensing board in state of practice.

Job Duties
- Provides direct, one-on-one therapeutic services to patients during scheduled session.
- Stays informed of departmental and section activities.
- Maintains designated work spaces including computer station and assigned treatment rooms, by organizing, cleaning, and/or supplying appropriate materials.
- Provides behavior modification assistance during small group activities and/or assists with behavior modification for other providers including speech therapists and occupational therapists as needed.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Performs other related duties as required.
