How You'll Help: 

  • Manage engineering-related projects
    • Project management of several small to medium sized projects under the direction of the Applications Engineering Supervisor / Manager
    • Provide project tracking, scheduling, and progress reporting to stakeholders
    • Identify/resolve project issues and mitigate risks, impediments, and dependencies while working with cross functional teams
    • Mentor and assist other team members on engineering projects
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, sales/marketing, and customers.
    • Assist inside and outside sales personnel, marketing and product management, and customers with inquiries or questions related to:
      • Product applications and assistance with system design
      • Product failures or performance concerns
      • Specifications and design codes
    • Support manufacturing with technical issues related to manufacturability and performance
    • Use knowledge of engineering and design principals, while following applicable industry standards to ensure products meet customer expectations
    • Ability to act as engineering lead and be sought out as an ASC technical expert
  • Help to conduct training sessions with customers, inside and outside sales personnel, and independent rep organizations to develop product knowledge and awareness
  • Assist with creating, controlling, and managing all product designs, related drawings, tests/inspections, marketing literature and verification of all current product lines, including:
    • Review and approve modifications to product designs
    • Assist with diagnosis of reported performance concerns
    • Conduct internal and external testing to assure products meets design parameters
    • Update drawings as required by engineering changes or for technical accuracy
    • Perform engineering calculations in support of design or customer need
  • Act as engineering lead when representing ASC for on-site customer support and product analysis
    • Participate in forensics exams as ASC’s sole representative if a technical expert is required
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry, product standards, and performance requirements
  • Ability to work autonomously, requiring minimal guidance. Individual has a sound understanding of the team’s engineering responsibilities

 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years or more of related Engineering Experience
  • Existing capabilities to solve engineering problems, utilize critical thinking to evaluate new situations/problems, communicate effectively across the Company, and write reports in a timely manner
  • Ability to work efficiently, be self-directed, and exercise strong discipline as an engineer
  • Capability to identify problems and conduct root-cause analyses to determine underlying causes
  • Desire for continuous improvement and willingness to pursue ongoing training to maintain knowledge of latest technology, certifications/industry standards, and product developments
  • Excellent analytical skills and willingness to work towards achievement of business goals and initiatives
  • Experience with product exams and field support preferred.
  • Experience using 3D/CAD Modeling Tools.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
  • Strong oral, active listening, and written communication skills, which preferably include:
    • Building presentations to communicate ideas, analyses, and recommendations to organization
    • Effectively communicating across multiple internal and external layers of the Company
