Job Posting: Application Developer
Our client, a national leader in litigation support services, is seeking an experienced Application Developer (desktop applications) to join a small, but versatile IT team. As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for the architecture, development, maintenance, security, and support of all customer-facing and internal and external desktop and web applications. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for a developer who is interested in taking a project from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with others to validate all process and changes to a production system which you will be required to help maintain
Develop software solutions for the rapidly growing demands of clients
Work with end users and management to develop requirements and communicate progress
Meet sprint requirements in an Agile environment and comfortable with MS DevOps
Ensure coding techniques are implemented to prevent cross-site scripting and other malicious attacks
Provide software and end-user support
Remain on-call and available to provide management support in the event of emergencies
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in building desktop solutions using C#.Net
Experience with multi-tier development and a full understanding of the architecture of a thin client (web or app) talking to a service and using RESTApi, stored procedures, and views to build a layer around a database
Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL database administration (with extensive use of t-SQL, stored procedures, views, and triggers)
Proficient in the primary technologies supported: ASP.Net, C#, Ajax, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, JSON, IIS
Thorough knowledge of Windows/MS Office
Ability to work with rapidly changing priorities
Service-minded, organized, and ability to work independently with little supervision
Sound judgment and logical decision-making are critical in this position
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
