The Graphic Designer is a key creative player of Opry Entertainment Group's (OEG) Retail team who is passionate about creating unique and custom graphics for products that connect music fans with their experience at our venues. This role will help bring music experiences to life through artwork developed for various product categories and branded packaging, support material for our retail gift shops, such as signage and window displays, and e-commerce graphic support. Collaborate on artist gifts, collateral, presentations, and other promotional products that reflect OEG's iconic venues and brands while achieving the objectives of specific programs and initiatives.
The Graphic Designer will work closely with the product development team to design graphics for apparel, which can also be adapted to a variety of cohesive products such as hats, drinkware, keychains, packaging, etc., for our retail gift shops as well as working from inspiration to generate artwork and patterns for our seasonal product offerings in an efficient and timely manner. In addition to printables and pattern design, this role will work with product development to present current trends under the OEG brand aesthetic, creating at least ten unique styles monthly in conjunction with general logo-based graphics to existing merchandise and new product offerings. Reports to Director of Product Development.
- Develop effective designs and layouts from inspiration to create original designs, including logos and compositional graphics for apparel and application to all products, from t-shirts to drinkware. Develop eight to 16 new styles each month.
- Follow existing style guides to create new designs and accompanying style guides for packaging.
- Research current trends consistent with existing brand aesthetic to be incorporated into original artwork for the country music lifestyle guest experience.
- Keep current with trends impacting graphic design, graphic design tools, and graphic design as applied to products while maintaining existing brand aesthetic.
- Work closely with retail and marketing team members and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality end products.
- Communicate with the product development team and vendors to ensure proper execution of prints and applications.
- Design and prepare supplemental artwork for websites, banners, social media, in-store collateral,and product packaging.
- Create CADs and tech packs to communicate placement of graphics on garments and adapt and supply CADs for our e-commerce team as needed. Adjust vendor art and logos as required for various souvenir products.
- Create artwork for film output related to textile screen printing.
- Proofread, compare, and verify the accuracy of all details, such as font type, graphic size, color, copy, and logo specifications for all jobs assigned.

Education
- Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred
Experience
- 2+ years experience in graphic design, with a portfolio demonstrating a solid understanding of design principles and strong illustrative skills
- PDF and/or online portfolio is required during the application process
- Prior experience in retail product design and manufacturing preferred

- Working familiarity of best practices for printing techniques on a variety of product mediums and related print limitations (file formats, resolution, colorspaces, printing techniques)
- Strong understanding of country music and entertainment lifestyle and the OEG brand aesthetic is a plus
- Proficient in Adobe products (Photoshop and Illustrator) and Microsoft Office
