Acuren is now hiring for API 510 Inspectors for TAR work at our Baton Rouge, LA location.
Responsibilities
- At the direction of client and Acuren Supervision, perform visual inspection on client assests in accordance with applicable American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
- Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition
- Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client or dictated by API/ASME Code.
- Provide technical input to client as required for inspection, welding and metallurgical issues.
- Provide technical guidance, on an application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures
- Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives
- Willingness to travel if needed
Requirements
- Current active 510 certification of American Petroleum Institute Standard as follows: API-510
- Minimum of 5 - 10 years of API Certified experience
- Previous work at Exxon facility preferred
- Additional API Certifications or CWI a plus
- In-depth working knowledge of inspection and repair of pressure vessels, piping and/or tanks dependent upon which API certified position candidate is applying for.
- Experience working in direct support of client inspection, engineers and/or maintenance personnel.
Benefits
- Salary will be dependent upon site contract requirements for pay to person.
- This is a non-benefited position (PTO/401K/Medical, etc. not included).
