Apartment Property Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Apartment Manager to oversee the daily operations of our apartment complex in Hamilton, NJ. As an Apartment Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of the property, maintaining tenant satisfaction, and enforcing property rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of Fair Housing regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the apartment complex, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations
- Advertise and market available units to attract prospective tenants
- Conduct thorough tenant screenings and background checks
- Prepare and execute lease agreements and renewals
- Collect rent payments and ensure timely payment processing
- Address tenant concerns, complaints, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Enforce property rules and regulations in a fair and consistent manner
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs and maintenance of units
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, tenant interactions, and maintenance requests
- Utilize Yardi software to track work orders and maintenance schedules

Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and ability to ensure compliance
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes effectively
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Proficient in using property management software such as Yardi or similar platforms
- Familiarity with real estate administrative tasks, including contract management
- Experience working with Section 8 housing programs is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

Pay: $20.69 - $24.92 per hour
