We're currently seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our team, ensuring our properties continue to meet the high standards our residents expect.
Job Summary:
As a General Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, functionality, and beauty of our apartment complexes. This position requires a jack-of-all-trades with a strong background in electrical, plumbing, and all facets of Apartment Maintenance. Your expertise will ensure that our properties remain safe, comfortable, and appealing to our current and prospective residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the properties to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform a wide range of repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies from residents, providing high-quality service.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
- Assist in preparing apartments for new residents, ensuring that all maintenance issues are addressed and the apartment is in move-in condition.
- Maintain inventory of repair supplies and equipment, and manage maintenance records.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general maintenance, with a strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other repair work.
- Technical training or certification in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or related field is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with residents and team members.
- Flexibility to handle emergency situations outside of standard working hours.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be physically able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
