The responsibility of the housekeeper to maintain the premises of the apartment community in a clean and orderly condition, performing the following duties: Duties & Responsibilities: To maintain the physical appearance of the community; to assist the preparation of vacant and make ready apartments. To clean the office, the clothes care facilities and other common areas daily. To clean or freshen models and/or show units daily. To report to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager any damaged areas immediately. Performance is up to standard when all areas are clean and presentable for viewing by prospective and current residents. Clean all appliances as well as clean and sanitize bath facilities. Clean all woodwork, doors, fixtures, counters, drawers and cabinets. Vacuum all carpeted floors. Clean all vinyl floor covering. Clean all windows and sills. To touch up any vacant units, as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager, to keep the apartment in a make-ready condition. Performance is up to standard when the apartment is in a “like new” condition. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Medium Work: Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 25 to 50 lbs., and constantly moving appliances and heavy machinery correctly and safely. Climbing: Frequently ascending or descending ladders, and stairs and the like by using feet and legs or hands and arms. Bodily agility is important. Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching. Stooping: Frequently bending downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Kneeling: Frequently bending legs at knees to come to rest on a knee or knees. Crouching: Frequently bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine. Reaching: Frequently extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Handling: Frequently seizing, holding grasping, turning or otherwise working with hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, such as to turn a switch or shift automobile gears.
