ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
Multi-Location Responsibility/Schedule
- Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
- Location for the job would be Forest Lake. Once in a while, you'll need to commute between several buildings as-needed basis.
- Wage: 21/hr
Daily Activities
- Vacuum, clean and straighten up all common areas including furniture
- Clean glass entry doors, side lights, and office, windows
- Dusting common areas including windowsills, light fixtures etc.
- Pick up trash from yards and parking lots, and empty garbage cans in/around building, including ashtrays & pet waste stations
- Wipe off/out washers & dryers, counter and sinks in laundry room.
- Clean, sweep and mop elevators.
- Clean all items in any amenity areas
- Take note of any maintenance items and report to maintenance
- Summer: pull weeds from gardens
Weekly Activities
- Dust all wall elements including cobwebs, wipe glass and case for fire extinguishers, thermostats, etc.
- Wipe workout equipment with all-purpose cleaner, sweep & mop/vacuum floor
- At least once weekly, check all exterior doors for security. Examine door for any pry marks, propping materials, etc. Dispose of items that can be used to prop door open. Report any with closing/opening issues to maintenance
- Remove filters from mini splits and vacuums (wash if needed) and dust top of mini splits
- Shampoo carpets as time permits
- Clean any closed amenity rooms; dust/wipe all furniture, vacuum & sweep/mop as needed
- Turn in bi-weekly list of supplies needed
Monthly Activities
- Clean turns, filling out cleaning sheet for each. Note any maintenance issues
- Walk building and note all damage to walls, trim, lights, exit lights, emergency lights, carpets, windows, screens, outside of building, etc. and provide a list to supervisor
Occasional Activities
- Shovel & salt sidewalks
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience
- 2 years’ experience cleaning commercial or multi-family buildings (preferred)
Other required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
- Must maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive or personal information
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
