Reports to:Design Director- Tabletop & Gift, Anthropologie Home
Objective:
To manage and design the gift and tabletop line for Anthropologie Home by providing research and development on new materials, techniques, shape, print and color direction. To manage a design team to ensure that the designs and the resulting product are appropriate for the unique style of the Anthropologie Home customer. Categories include dinnerware, serve ware, glassware, kitchen items, candles, stationery, decorative vessels and objects.
Management Responsibilities:
- Oversee all related job responsibilities for the design team.
- Encourage the design team to design product - to be creative and to support your needs to ensure strong items in each delivery from concept to production.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross functional partners- other design teams, merchants and production.
Creative Responsibilities:
- Initiate and complete line plan requirements for the duration of the temporary contract.
- Initiate, contribute and participate in trend research.
- Work with design director and design team to develop the line aesthetically.
- Work with production and merchants to develop the line with manufacturing and costing.
- Supervise the development of your whole line and be aware of status.
- Globally source and shop within budget guidelines to develop.
- Potentially travel to factories for development and execution of programs.
- As samples come in, make any adjustments needed to improve the style.
- Attend all design meetings for pertinent product.
Skills /Qualifications:
- Solutions oriented problem-solving skills.
- Professional communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other CAD related programs.
- Knowledge of a wide range of materials and techniques.
Education:Bachelor's Degree in similar field.
