The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, a member of the Feeding America Network, is seeking a full-time employee to join our team! At the Regional Food Bank, we work to alleviate hunger and food insecurity in our region.
We have an opening for an employee who can support the Advancement team in overseeing the annual gifts program including direct mail, appeals, community outreach, and stewardship activities. The Annual Giving Coordinator will identify potential donors, assist with gift processing and other fundraising activities, and collaborate with Marketing staff to leverage mass communications and digital platforms for annual fundraising campaigns.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Annual Giving Program
Responsible for the coordination, planning, and implementation of all Annual Giving campaign management, including:
- annual calendar of direct response mailings;
- track and report direct response activities and provide recommendations for future campaigns;
- appeal campaigns and other fundraising strategies;
- direct response expenses to meet budgetary goals;
- ongoing stewardship of annual donors;
- donor records and giving histories;
- campaign marketing with Marketing Department.
Donor Cultivation and Management
- Participates in donor cultivation activities;
- Manages a portfolio of annual donors;
- Focuses on volunteer and event attendee conversion;
- Works with major gifts officers to screen and upgrade annual donors.
Community Outreach
- Attends networking events on behalf of the Food Bank to increase professional network, refine relationship management skills, and enhance outreach and capacity.
Teamwork
- Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank;
- Assists team members with fundraising events and administrative duties, as needed;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Other
- Adheres to the Food Bank’s Employee Code of Conduct;
- Keeps privileged/confidential information in confidence;
- Maintains a clean and safe workspace;
- Follows all safety standards and procedures.
Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical office setting but may be exposed to extreme temperatures in a warehouse setting. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter physical position or change eye focus. Lifting should not normally exceed 30 pounds.

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Position begins at Cornwall office and relocates with organization to new facility in Montgomery, NY, in Q3; regular travel to Latham, NY.
